Simple Homemade Teriyaki Sauce Recipe
A Simple home-made teriyaki sauce recipe, which made from pantry staples. This sauce is bold & thick & is great as marinade or as sauce served with your favorite vegetables or meats.
Ingredients
- Honey - 1–2 Tablespoons
- Water - 1 Cup
- Cold water - 1/4 Cup
- Packed light brown sugar - 5 Tablespoons
- Low sodium soy sauce - 1/4 Cup
- Cornstarch - 2 Tablespoons
- Garlic clove - 1 Large (minced)
- Ground ginger - 1/2 Teaspoon
Preparation:
Step 1:
Mix brown sugar, 1-cup water, soy sauce, garlic, honey & ginger in a medium saucepan & set over medium heat.
Step 2:
In small bowl, Mix cornstarch with the 1/4 cup water & whisk till dissolved. Add the cornstarch mixture to saucepan.
Step 3:
Heat sauce till it thickens to your desired thickness. If sauce becomes too thick then add more water to thin it out.
