Best Chocolate Brownies Recipe
The brownie recipe makes rich & fudgy brownies that always turn-out well. They are topped with home-made chocolate frosting that makes the best brownies ever!
Ingredients
- Unsweetened cocoa powder - ⅓ Cup
- Butter - ½ Cup
- Eggs - 2
- White sugar - 1 Cup
- Baking powder - ¼ Teaspoon
- Vanilla extract -1 Teaspoon
- All-purpose flour - ½ Cup
- Salt - ¼ Teaspoon
Frosting:
- Vanilla extract - 1 Teaspoon
- Honey - 1 Tablespoon
- Butter - 3 Tablespoons (softened)
- Unsweetened cocoa powder - 3 Tablespoons
- Confectioner's sugar - 1 Cup
Preparation:
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease & flour an 8inch square-pan.
Step 2:
Melt 1/2-cup butter in large sauce pan. Remove from heat, then stir in eggs, sugar & 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Beat in 1/3-cup cocoa, salt, flour & baking powder. Spread batter into prepared pan.
Step 3:
Bake in preheated oven till top is dry & edges have started to pull away from the sides of the pan, about 25-30 mins. Lets cool briefly before frosting.
To make the frosting:
Combine softened confectioners' sugar, butter, honey, 3 tablespoons cocoa & 1 teaspoon vanilla extract in bowl. Stir till smooth. Frost brownies while they are still warm.
Notes
- Drizzle over an easy caramel-sauce, to take these over the top!
